I have always wanted to go on pilgrimage to the Holy Land. I do not come from a family of means, though we have done alright in the world. Now that I can think about incurring such an expense, I have a family and the Holy Land has been gripped in increased violence. From this situation, I made two resolutions – 1. Pray for peace in the Holy Land. 2. Have a local pilgrimage.

How do we have a local pilgrimage? You don’t have to go to the Bethlehem or Jerusalem to find Christ. Living in California, Lynn (my wife) and I decided that we would set out with the kids to see all of the California Missions. This lets us touch history and the faith of our forefathers here in California. As an amateur photographer (and I mean really amateur), I love the excursions for the pictures. I will share some of these with you as we go along. Not all will be of the buildings themselves (e.g., some will be plant life or birds) but all will be from the visit described.

I hold the copyrights to the pictures. You may use the ones posted online without if you do not modify them. If you post a note or send me an email (robk@kaiserfam.com) with information what you would like to use the image for, I will most likely be able to get you better (and larger) image than what is posted online.

Hi Kyrie,

First of all, your pictures are beautiful. The reason I would like to use your pictures is because my son is doing a mission report on San Gabriel; and your pics are the only ones that give detail on the pics. Its hard enough on a fourth grader to find out info on the mission and its even harder trying to find pics on it, but not knowing what each pic represent. This is an opportunity for my kids class to vision what San Gabriel was really about and to follow along better with the report. I would really appreciate if you could do this for us, if not thanks and keep up the good work. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
Latonya
