Here is a verse from tomorrow’s (Sun, Feb 4) second reading that really hit me. It is Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians verses 10:

“But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me has not been ineffective”

All that I do that is good comes from Him.

Lord, I pray that your grace is effective in me that I may be of your design. Amen.

AMEN!

Haven’t been by in awhile…replaced my computer and my old laptop is not…uh..compatible with my new computer, so I can’t just transfer info.

Anyway, if you are interested in a good book, “God Alone Suffices”, by Slawomir Biela. It’s not very long, not difficult reading, but sort of in the same vein as St. Frances de Sales “Introduction to the Devout Life”.

I’ve been asked to review this book, but spiritually it’s fairly heavy, so it’s a tough project. I’m trying to digest it first, then re-read it and provide a review.

God bless, congrats on the baptism of Gracie…great photos! :-) What a gorgeous little girl!

Rob: I hear you. Often I look in the mirror and say, “Damn, he broke the mold with this one.”

:-)

Hope all is well in Sunny SoCal. Missing you and your big laugh here in ATL…..

Thanks, Adoro. I’ll keep it in mind. Right now I have been reading St. Theresa’s Interior Castle and St. John of the Cross’s Dark Night of the Soul. Thanks about the pix. I think she’s cute.
