I remember when a good friend of mine had her first child before getting married. I remember when she asked me to be the "male role model" for the kids. I think having a male role model is important. <br/><br/>That said, the only thing any of us can do is our best with the hand we've got - that and pray. Definitely pray, and let God handle the rest.<br/><br/>My point is primarily for the dads who coast and let the moms do all the work. Bad idea. I’m not sure if the results speak to single parents.
