Collectible Coins & Stamps

I am not a numismatist nor a philatelist, but I did deal in coins as a hobby for a few years, and had some stamps from back then as well. The walking liberty half dollar (in center of picture) is my favorite US coin design.

Stamp and coin collecting are fun! I used to have a collection from when I was a kid, actually I still have them buried deep in my closet. I should probably pull them out and take care of them better! Happy Hunting :)

That is such a good photo for your hobbies. I could have used you yesterday when a student brought in a foreign coin that I could not identify!

Beckie, Said:

That’s a great picture. I only have a couple of old coins my mom gave me. Don’t know much about them.

Happy Weekend. Thanks so much for visiting My Photo Blog.

What a great picture of a great collection. I think it is not only the beauty of the coins and stamps that is so exceptional but also the presentation.. exquisite.

Great photo! I usually collect money from every country we visit (it makes my husband crazy, though - he likes to spend every last cent). It was a lot more fun before Europe changed over the Euro…

Coin collecting is fun! I used to collect coins years ago! I had quite the little collection back then, I don’t even know where it is anymore.

I tried this hobby as a kid but it didn’t last. It sure is a neat hobby though. Good post for this weeks hunt.

I like the Walking Liberty, too!
I save wheat pennies :)
Great photo, and hobby!

The walking liberty is a great coin. I collected pennies once, years ago.
Thanks for visiting my hobby photo.

Nice photo … I collected coins when I was a kid. My personal favorite was the St. Gaudens Double Eagle followed by many of the mid-late 19th century designs.
