This is what Scriptures say and what we are to believe, therefore a soul can experience pain or happiness without the body. Our task is to subject our body to its soul, and this is the way of perfection. It means natural superiority of the soul, which can be greatly diminished by sinful life. But this is more theological discussion. To me, the soul is a mystery, mystery of God. We have a soul that was created by God and materialists or atheists deny it. The soul cannot be subject to research by any scientific, material methods for it is immaterial itself, it is simply at different level than material world. Very interesting post.
