This is a picture of my daughter taking surf lessons on a long board. It was about 10 feet long and rather wide. This was the “pre-water” phase. It must of worked, because she got up on the first try - of course it was a long board (which is easier to ride).

I’ve been boarding once on vacation and I loved it. I live in alandlocked state though, so I am not sure if I will get to go again.
