Matt at Creative Minority Report writes about Obama: Babies and STD’s Are Punishments

Off the Politico.com I read how Obama was confronted by a pro-lifer in Pennsylvania recently. Obama, of course gave the usual tripe about how good people can disagree on the issue and how we are all for adoptions and all that.
But then he went one step further by saying:

“Look, I got two daughters — 9 years old and 6 years old,” he said. “I am going to teach them first about values and morals, but if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby. I don’t want them punished with an STD at age 16, so it doesn’t make sense to not give them information.”

The first thing that so astonishing to me is the equivalence between an STD and a baby. And then the comment that they’d be “Punished with a baby.” Where does the support for adoption come in then? This man might be President. I feel nothing but horror and shame.

So now his daughters know what Papa Obama thinks of them. They were punishments for his mistakes. And he would rather they murder an innocent life than deal with the consequences of their own actions. You can almost hear the conversation.

“Listen, Baby Girl, I don’t want you making the same mistake I made - so you go ahead and snuff out that baby inside of you. You don’t deserve that kind of punishment. What? What was that? Does the baby deserve what it gets? Hell, Little Darlin’, it’s legal isn’t it? And people of goodwill can agree to disagree on if it even is a baby - wink wink.”

By the way, people of goodwill cannot just “agree to disagree” on this. That would be like agreeing to disagree that what Hitler or Stalin or Pol Pot did was OK, or that their victims were not really human (hmmm, didn’t Hitler make that claim?). It would be agreeing to disagree that mass murder is OK. Sorry, but if you think abortion is OK - you are wrong. There is no middle ground here. You either are for the murder of innocent life or you are against it. And because the right to life - particularly innocent life - trumps all other rights, we can’t just negotiate this one away or stand idly by and quietly watch the greatest destruction of human life this world has ever witnessed.
