“For though the fig tree blossom not nor fruit be on the vines, though the yield of the olive fail and the terraces produce no nourishment, though the flocks disappear from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls, yet will I rejoice in the LORD and exult in my saving God.”
Hab 3:17-18

This verse is from today’s Morning Prayers. It struck me and so I share it. It does not matter what wealth I have. It does not matter if things do not go as I want or even as I think I need. What matters is that I rejoice in my saving God. That is what matters. All of life is a gift - not just what we want or even what we think we need. We must ever rejoice in the Lord.
