Today we celebrate the birth of Mary, the mother of God. This perfect fruit from the trunk of Jesse through the branch of David became the living tabernacle, the living ark of the new covenant. Through her our salvation was born into the world. And as Christ our Lord hung on the Cross, he gave her to all of us and all of us to her to be mother of us all.
So, remember your mother Mary’s birthday today and say a prayer. Ask her to pray for you. She will. Remember too that Christ listens to his mother. How blessed we are to have her. Thank God most high for the wonders he has done in and through and because of her and that most glorious fiat.
