Not Only did President Barak Obama rescind the pro-life Mexico City policy, which will take money from programs that help the poor and will use it to kill the unborn, but the President “I never found an abortion I wouldn’t fund” Obama has asked Congress to spend our tax money to fund the UNFPA – a group that participates in forced abortions. Take a look at this exposé video.

U.S. to Fund Chinese Coercion?: National Catholic Register

Call it a double blow for the culture of death.

In a statement released in conjunction with his signing Friday of an executive order overturning the pro-life Mexico City Policy, President Barack Obama pledged to work with Congress to restore funding to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

U.S. funding of the U.N. agency — which works in close collaboration with International Planned Parenthood Federation and other major abortion providers to promote its “reproductive rights” and population control programs — has been suspended for seven years because of UNFPA’s participation in China’s notorious “one-child” program of population control.

Here is the quote from the president’s press release:

In addition, I look forward to working with Congress to restore U.S. financial support for the U.N. Population Fund. By resuming funding to UNFPA, the U.S. will be joining 180 other donor nations working collaboratively to reduce poverty, improve the health of women and children, prevent HIV/AIDS and provide family planning assistance to women in 154 countries.

We are in the undesirable situation of having a president that does not care for the life of millions of people, but an agenda: supporting the agenda of his big time political contributors – the abortion industry. Shame on him and shame on us for allowing this. Obama is not the hope for the future that he promised, he is a servant of the culture of death. We need to continue to pray for him and our country.

So you would prefer Bush then? Or McCain? God help closed minded Catholics that dismiss the true worth of a leader simply because of their stance on the pro/anti abortion question.

RobK, Said:

May God help anyone “NotWhite” who votes for someone because of the color of their skin.

May God help anyone who would sacrifice the lives of the innocent for intangible “leadership”.

God help those caught under the spell of a pied piper who promises compassion for all but the most weak and vulnerable.

Obama is no savior – he is a Chicago politician who has duped you and the country.

There is no issue more important than stopping the holocaust of abortion. This president will cost lives. It is a shame that you prioritize other issues greater than willful destruction of innocent life.

May God help you see your error on this.

In response to Robk, I must say that I do not belive people voted for Obama mostly for the color of his skin. But if that was a factor (FACTOR not THE reason), I’m fine with that. It is a wonderful accomplishment. The amount of racism that pervades our history and even current times is sickening beyond description and makes me ashamed to be both american and white. Racism is what would drive a black person to want to vote for another black person… because they have been used and abused by whites and do not feel respresented by a white as well as they do a black. How many presidents have been black? How many have been white? I believe you should have said, “May God help any “white” who votes for someone because of the color of his skin. Throughout history, that has been reality to such a degree that not long ago only whites could be voted for… it was illegal for blacks to vote let alone run for president. That cannot be said both ways. Shame on you for pointing your finger when it deserves to be pointed at us (I am assuming you are white).
Obama is loved by people across nations, and thus far, I think he is a really good president with race having nothing to do with it. Sure, we might disagee with abortion, but I do not believe that takes away from all his positive contributions.

RobK, Said:

JoAnna – to vote for someone because of the color of their skin is racist. It has been (and so people have called it out), it is, and it will be. Period. I don’t understand your wanting to single out one group as different from another. I do not think race politics should be allowed a place in our world – shame on any, white, black, brown, blue or red that say otherwise – including you, JoAnna. Btw, it was my first commenter who brought the issue up by using the moniker “Not White.”

You say he has had positive contributions. Really? What? Perhaps it was the most expensive coronation inauguration we have ever had?

In the less than month that he has been president, he has pushed for abortions abroad to be paid for by tax payers – the consequences are a reduction to programs that actually help the poor. And he has pushed for a so called stimulus package that will require me, my children, and my grandchildren to owe more and more to the state.

Forgive me if I don’t share your enthusiasm for his “contributions.”
