In his speech last week in Cairo, President Obama proclaimed he was a “student of history.” But despite Barack Obama’s image as an Ivy League-educated intellectual, he lacks historical competency, in areas of both facts and interpretation….
It is not simply an embarrassment that Obama doesn’t understand about the history of which he speaks, it is dangerous. He draws incorrect inferences because his facts are wrong. He is at serious risk of making policy based on dramatically incorrect assumptions about the way the world has worked. OR he is comfortable with his bias, and is trying to make the history fit his skewed views.
